The Twits!

Room 4 Literacy have been reading The Twits and Mrs Morris has just loved hearing us giggle throughout the story.  We have learned that Mr and Mrs Twit like to play tricks on each other.  Mrs Twit even made Mr Twit eat worm spaghetti for dinner! So Mrs Morris bought in lots of different food items and we had to come up with a trick menu for Mr Twit.

Some of our ideas were:
-tiny eggs from dinosaurs (unpopped popcorn)
-maggots (rolled oats)
-eyeballs from a bull! (hard boiled eggs)
-the body of a frog (gherkin)

We worked hard to add descriptive words to make our menu as disgusting as possible!!!!

YMCA

We are super excited to have Zeb from the YMCA at Bulls School every Tuesday to run games and skills sessions with us.

WELCOME BACK!

Welcome back to Term 2!  There was a buzz of excitement today in the hub as the students welcomed their friends back to school.  It was awesome to hear of the many adventures that took place in the holidays.  Sienna had a trip down south and saw dolphins while she was on the ferry, Jayden went to Australia and William kayaked the Whanganui River!  Miss Bailey also went to Australia and Mrs Morris spent lots of time at the beach with her family.  Some of the words that were used to describe the holidays were:
Fun
Ecstatic
Sleeping
Adventurous
Exciting

We are super pumped about the term ahead - especially with Mahi Tahi. There will be rocket launching, cooking, photography and more! Keep an eye out on the blog for photos of our learning throughout the term.

Congratulations to Monty, Ciara, Tylah and Karley who all received Focal Point Movie tickets for being awarded the most Dojo points for Term 1 - you guys rock!

Congratulations to all the students who are earning PRIDE tickets regularly.  We are looking forward to PRIDE time on Monday to award the students that have earned five PRIDE tickets. 

Variety Bash

 Last Friday the Variety Bash came to visit Bulls Schools to give us cheque to make a basket swing in the junior playground.  The bus was funny because it had two fronts, there were bubbles coming out the top and it had propellers for going on the ferry.

Rainy Days

This week has been a pretty damp week in Bulls which means we have had to have had to spend time inside at morning tea and lunch time.  We have been playing with play dough, drawing, cutting and doing puzzles.  This fabulous group completed this puzzle cooperatively and were very proud of their achievements - ka pai! 

Whanganui Overnight Stay

Here is a little sneak preview of where we will be visiting and staying on our overnight stay.  It's very exciting and not too far away now!!!
